sigh. anywho, name me some upbeat van morrison songs. there's a particular song i'm trying to get, and it sounds like it should roll over the credits of a Wes Anderson movie (does that make sense? i'm not quite sure it does to me) and i'm pretty sure it was featured in an episode of the Sopranos for some reason. Anyway, Van Morrison is one of those guys who can be really impressive when he's not casually putting me to sleep. Unfortunately i only know astral weeks and his stuff with Them. any suggestions?

Im partial to Tupelo Honey (both the album in general and the song in particular) - Im sure this is for nostalgic reasons, but I dig Van Morrison

I got it.

"Glad Tidings" played at the end of The Sopranos on the last episode of 2004.

Last song on Moondance.

I don't watch the Sopranos, so I'd just be shooting in the dark on a specific song you're looking for. Most VM albums have some upbeat stuff- particularly through the end of the 70's period, there were always a couple of strong driving R&B-based numbers. See Jackie Wilson Said (Saint Dominic's Preview), Domino (His Band & The Streeet Choir), Wild Night (Tupelo Honey), or Wavelength (Wavelength). And more...

jackie wilson said (i'm in heaven when you smile) from st. dominic's preview is very perky, upbeat tune for van morrison.

oops, too late.

The song played at the end of The Royal Tenenbaums is "Everyone" off of Moondance.
