Seriously? Wow. Well, the deluxe edition will be even better. :D I saw the ad for this album in URB last night so I thought I'd pass the info along.

DJ Shadow- Endtroducing (deluxe edition)

AKA: James Lavelle needs the money

Quote:
from Billboard

DJ Shadow's 1996 Mo' Wax debut, "Endtroducing...," will be released as a deluxe, expanded edition on June 7 via Island/UME. The set will feature a bonus disc of single versions, a live track recorded in 1997 in England and previously unreleased demos and remixes.

Highlights include the Extended Overhaul edit of "Organ Donor" which Shadow created for Mo' Wax founder James Lavelle to use in his DJ sets, Cut Chemist's Party Mix of "The Number Song," Peshay's previously unreleased remix of "What Does Your Soul Look Like" and demos or alternate versions of "Building Steam With a Grain of Salt," "Best Foot Forward," "Changeling," "Why Hip-Hop Sucks In '96," "Mutual Slump" and "Napalm Brain."

Shadow personally oversaw the update and contributed new liner notes and photos. The booklet will boast excerpts from Eliot Wilder's upcoming book about "Endtroducing...," which will be published in September by Continuum Books.

Nearly a decade since its release, "Endtroducing..." remains a watershed of DJ culture thanks to its unique blend of samples from obscure vinyl albums, propulsive beats and moody atmospherics. The set has sold 290,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It took Shadow six years to release a proper follow-up, 2002's "The Private Press," and he has kept a relatively low profile in recent years. Of late, he has contributed a remix of Keane's "We Might As Well Be Strangers" for a 10-inch vinyl release and produced the track "Over You" for Lyrics Born's new Quannum Projects release, "Same !@#$ Different Day."

7. Red Bus Needs To Leave - (Single Version)
8. Mutual Slump - (previously unreleased, alternate take)
9. Organ Donor - (Extended)
10. Why Hip-Hop Sucks In '96 - (alternate take)
11. Midnight In A Perfect World - (GAB mix)

13. What Does Your Soul Look Like - (Peshay remix)
14. DJ Shadow Live In Oxford, England, Oct. 30 1997 - (previously unreleased)

I've got about 6 of those tracks already.

Stem - (Cops 'N' Robbers mix) was on a FFFR sampler

all available on singles. all except "Number Song" are import:
Number Song - (Cut Chemist Party mix)
Soup - (Single Version)
Organ Donor - (Extended)
Red Bus Needs To Leave - (Single Version)
Midnight In A Perfect World - (GAB mix) on singles

To me the book sounds like the most interesting part.

All this talk prompted me to pull out the 'High Noon' single and if all he had ever released was these three tracks he would still be a legend.

NP: DJ Shadow - Devil's Advocate (Heaven Vs Hell Bonus Beat)

"The beat! The beat! Louder and faster, louder and faster, louder and faster, louder and faster louder and faster."

So, does anyone know how much this deluxe edition is going to cost once it comes out?
