(not counting all the 12" maxi-singles and things like the four-track Wide Awake In America):

1. Unforgettable Fire
2. Boy
3. War
4. Joshua Tree
5. October
6.Achtung Baby
6.Under A Blood Red Sky

all the other stuff, with Rattle & Hum and Pop being higher than the newer stuff.

1. Boy
2. War
3. The Unforgettable Fire
4. Joshua Tree
5. October
6.Achtung Baby
6.Under A Blood Red Sky

That looks about right...all others are either bad or just so so

You and I have the exact same opinion of their records.

I really dig Rattle and Hum sometimes. It's definitely better than Zooropa but not War.

I definitely concur with that last sentiment.

Am an ostracized weirdo in this regard, as I have always enjoyed Rattle and Hum, with a very high regard. Admittedly, I am a novice regarding the early U2 career. Have only heard Boy, War, Unforgettable Fire until recently, but to be honest, it never blew me away. I should probably hear it again soon.

I've never understood the antipathy towards Rattle and Hum. Maybe you've got to be a serious U2 fan or something.

War is not only U2's best album, but should likely rank in the top 100 of all time, a feat that no other U2 album could hope to accomplish.
