Just heard Peter Hammill's As Close As This for the first time since college. One I meant to buy, but never did. Forgot how much I love it. About his least caustic and most sentimental album, and one that nearly no one noticed. Remembering now.

You?

Funny that this comes out as VH1 Classic is playing Cracker...and I need to pick up Kerosene Hat

I just picked up it this year as I only had 'Cassette' before. It had been years between listens and I really had forgotten how much I loved this album. It's amazing the memories it brought back as well.

sorry for the non-confirmation; they recorded that album down in austin and did a lot of hanging out with the butthole surfers; the influence is felt---it is definately drug soaked.
