While in Scotland, I obtained the following special EP issued by Teenage Fanclub via the Scotland on Sunday newspaper. It’s a great compilation of unreleased stuff I didn’t have and have been listening to it non-stop. If anyone is interested in a copy, lemme know:

Tracks:

    1. Slow Fade
“Slow Fade” is taken from the Man-Made album, released on Monday 9th May 2005
    2. I Need Direction (alternative version)
“I Need Direction” first appearted on the Howdy! Album in 2000. This softer version features Dave McGowan on Harry Barry’s 100 year old harmonium. Recorded April 2005.
    3. Please Stay
New song, recorded March 2005 in Hamilton
    4. The World’ll Be OK (alternative version)
Recorded in Busby, April 2005. More harrymonium.
    5. I Saw The Light
Remake of Todd Rundgren’s song. Recorded in 1991, featuring Brendan O’Hare on drums. Previously unreleased.
    6. Same Place, Different Place
“Some Place, Different Place” was previously issued by Twisted Nerve on a limited edition 7” in 2003.

Duke Spirit were fantastic! Lotsa energy from the hot blonde bombshell singer who reminds me a lot of a young Deborah Harry. Band was tight, loud and simply awesome. Sold out show from what I could tell in the tight area that is King Tut's, but well worth the sweat and smoke.

And, I'll take care of your request tonight, check your PMs this weekend. ;)

Btw, the Archie Bronson Outfit opened for Duke Spirit -- they might be worth checking out. On the Domino label, pretty good for three hippie type guys with beards. :)

I would love to hear this too!
Be careful you don't get overrun with requests... because you might.
Lotsa love for the Fannies around these parts.

Of course!

Dri, would love to perv with you on Saturday, but am going to the Avalon for the Kaiser Chiefs show (I do wish I could see The National and Menomena, though). Are you going to Five Dollah Funk? If so, I'll see ya there. Either way, I'm always up for dinner!
