....so who else should I be checking out. I first got Private Press and then got Entroducing. I actually prefer Private Press. More into the instrumental hip hop and beats more so than the rapping stuff. Any reccomendations would be great.

I am really not up on this genre like I want to be (instrumental hip-hop stuff, I guess?) but I will second DJ Spooky, whose album with Slayer/Fantomas drummer Dave Lombardo has been entertaining me for a couple of months now. Also check out El-P's High Water, which is really more of a jazz album that he cut up as the musicians played, but it's amazing stuff.

Please - more suggestions of stuff like this. I don't particularly care to hear rapping, but I love the music these DJs are putting out.

I didn't even know about that album with Dave Lombardo. The allmusic review sounds pretty interesting. I really like DJ Spooky's older stuff (Synthetic Fury, Riddim Warfare) as opposed to the jazzier stuff he's done lately.

I hear a lot of Tangerine Dream in DJ Shadow, you perhaps ought to check them out. My favourites are Force Majeure and Tangram. It's "pretty".

You'll probably like it then - it's a part of Thirsty Ear's Blue Series, but it's definitely not jazz. And Lombardo's drumming is very tasty.

The first album 'Texture Freak' is much better than his second 'Without Vocabulary' though.

I listened to most of it today. It was decent but some tracks veered a little too much into rap/rock. I really liked the version of B-Side Wins Again with the old PE at the Hammersmith Odeon sirens and shit tho.

The Go! Team owes much of its existence to DJ Shadow, I think.

RJD2 is my favorite of the ones listed thus far.
