fuck using "Fag" in that context, first of all.

Second of all, I agree that after about 20 minutes into it I was really annoyed. But overall, it was a story worth being told and I think it's a better method and SLIGHTLY less self-indulgent way of looking into someone's life than an average livejournal. It might be a bit bogus conceptually, but in terms of cheaply made self-documenting films, it was easily the best I've seen. It kicks Super-Size Me's ass any day.

I also recorded all the score music onto my computer. I want some sort of cd by the composer.

ok, instead of fag should i have used "gay guy" or "homesexual gentleman"?

where is the line between stating the truth about someone and being a homophobe or racist? i think many people are too scared to tell it like it is, and hide it as Ayah stated.

OK, noticed this post. But that post was "stating the truth"? Hmmm

I didn't think his homosexuality entered into the film that much at all, at least I never thought him "showing off how gay he is" seemed applicable here. It's like, he has two boyfriends that kiss him a couple times in the film. I thought it was more like, "I'm gay and that isn't really want this film is about." It got the gay part out of the way by just noting it casually so it could be more about the heartbreaking story of her mom. The scenes where he was alone talking to the camera didn't work for me (like really, he had time to set up the camera in the bathroom before showing himself throw up? Bogus) but when he just sat back and let the music tell the story of the cycle of abuse in that family, I thought there were times the film became quite poignant.

I know it's not a perfect film, but it's one of those flawed pictures that still has a lot of worthwhile elements about it.

And you know what? more than anyone around here, I work with "diversity" and I pretty well can't stand "them" and they pretty much all fucking hate me. Because I'm white. Open contempt. But I don't give a fuck. People are different, and sometimes things like "CPT" or whatever are true. Get over it.

you're funny.
like a clown.
you amuse me.

Someone has to. I only speaks the truth.

this movie blows.

Yes, but I'm guessing your dislike of this film lies with the bitter disappointment you experienced when you came to the realization it wasn't about fans of UNC basketball.

I can't believe I stayed away from such an epic thread for so long. Dalen if we never talked music, we would get along just fine.
