FYI - those of you who know me know that The Bluerunners are one of my favorite bands ever (and yep, I did talk them into playing at my wedding in exchange for setting up a show at Stubb's!).

Anyway, they have a new record out called "Honey Slides" that I think is probably their best work since their first record about 15 years ago.

The music is a "gumbo" of cajun, zydeco, rock, roots, NOLA funk, blues, etc. Overall, The Bluerunners are an eclectic mix of cultural and "earthy" music and I have spent many nights shaking my ass to their music at clubs, dancehalls and festivals around SoLa.

You can listen to some samples on their site, but I think the record is worth the buy if you can spare the dinero.
