Having outgrown the lilliputian dimensions of my laptop's hard drive, and for reasons of portability and modularity, I am currently loading all of my music onto a 200gb external music depository. It is glorious.

I used X: for my eXternal drive, because M: was already used to share my MP3 folders between my laptop and desktop.

Portable is the way to go!

And Chuck D...I saw that shit. They had it on The Screensavers one day. It's huge. I like Lacie's 400 and 500 gig ones though.

i like lacie - i have their 80 gig "porsche" drive.

can you imagine one terabyte worth of mp3s in your home office, though?

i'm sure that i'll laugh at this mild sense of horror in five years or less, though. what comes after a terabyte? one phillion dillion bytes?

More like 1/5th of his Brazilian collection. Gilberto Gil alone probably takes up a good 800 GB.
