Explain to me the difference:
Meg White
Moe Tucker

"Moe used mallets" is not the answer.

Meg White tried to use drum sticks.

Moe worked at Wal-Mart AFTER she was in VU. More cred.

Meg White is just great.

Her singing is brilliant, her drums are brilliant and she's the sexiest thing to strike a cymbal in a distinctly dominatrix-esque way ever.

All those haters are full of shit for two reasons.

a) She's a girl playing kick ass rock music and that's not allowed.

and

b) They are real musicians - who play in pathetic little bands that do fuck all and who nobody gives a shit about.

the question assumes that people who think meg white shouldn't sing, think moe tucker should.

I haven't heard Meg sing.
I love Moe's girly little voice... just too charming.

I think the tracks Meg sings are pretty good filler songs on the albums and don't mind them for what they are.

She sings on about :30 of GBMS. And I think that's about just right.

Moe Tucker ROCKS. But, like most wicked drummers... she shouldn't be allowed near a microphone.

I went to school with Moe Tucker's son at UGA for a year...Nice kid.

I've always loved Moe singing "Afterhours" on the VU reunion album.

I don't like Meg White but I respect her ability to ride out the gimmick.

One time I was at a Soledad Brothers gig and I noticed this girl that looked really like Meg White standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Of course I didn't think Meg White was gig going in Glasgow on a wintery Wednesday night so I didn't think much of it. Then I realised Meg goes out with one of the Soledad guys and, hey, that WAS Meg White standing right next to me!

I thought about speaking to her but I wasn't sure what to say. Then these other people started talking to her and my chance was lost. Damn!

Our clothes probably rubbed though. Does that make me a groupie? I certainly hope so!
