A friend of mine told me these guys are coming to Madison and I know nothing about them. I know someone here has heard of them, downloaded something from them, liked it, told others about them, they got popular, and then turned thier back on them after a bad Pitchfork review.

So fill me in. Please.

Some of the Chicago crew, if I remember correctly, were rambling on about them. I don't know if it was good or bad rambling.

They're a Chicago band RIYL, uh, Dismemberment Plan, Smoking Popes? I don't remember that well. They're pretty good, catchy indie-pop.

I think it's actually "Troubled Hubble."

EDIT: and a quick Google would have also taken you to their website which is replete with MP3s.

I've seen them 5-6 times but not in a couple years. Really great live band. Songs about shoes and canoes and so forth.

I like them alot. They play around here quite a bit. They opened for Clem Snide in March and are now coming back to play a solo gig sometime in July. When they were here in March, it was still freaking cold, and the lead singer was wearing this huge parka. Some jackass driving by yelled nice toboggan you homo at him. I guess the hick confused toboggan with Parka, but once they were on stage he discussed the incident and ended his little tale by saying, I don't even own a toboggan

Saw these boys last night. While they seemed very nice, I thought they were merely ok. Nothing to inspire me to buy their album.
