Ohhhh and look who's opening -- Troubled Hubble.

Report back! I missed their San Diego show last night, and I'm interested to hear how they sound live.

it took me 3 days to decide that this band pisses me off. i wish i could say why, but i got nothing. For some reason i have a mental picture of stiv bators whenever i hear that album. which is odd.

A quickie review:

Troubled Hubble -- nothing spectacular, filler music, I should've hung hung out at the bar instead.

The Blood Arm -- being a local band who are much loved, they just didn't provide a great performance. Having seen them before, I expected much more and they didn't come through.

Maximo Park -- they were a lot better than I thought they'd be. Very energetic, a truly fun show! Reminded me a bit of a Futureheads' performance with regard to the energy-level. I'd see 'em again.

Didn't make it myself. I've been wayyyyyyy too busy lately - barely made it out to an excellent Mountain Goats show @ the Troub. last weekend....

If I had made it out last night, it would've been for the Apes/Anavan show @ the Knitting Factory, thou...

I've got tickets for Helio Sequence and Rogue Wave tonight at the KF, but think I'm gonna go home instead.
