PAUL CANNELL - RIP

PAUL CANNELL, the artist famous for his work with PRIMAL SCREAM and MANIC STREET PREACHERS, has committed suicide.

The east London artist was living and working in Cornwall until recently and also released a single with his band Crawl through Creation in 1996.

Cannell created the distinctive images for the covers of ’Screamadelica’, ’Higher Than The Sun’ and ’Don’t Fight It Feel It’ by Primal Scream as well as the ’You Love Us’ and ’Stay Beautiful’ singles by Manic Street Preachers.

He also designed the sleeve for Flowered Up’s ’Phobia’ and the Heavenly record label’s bird logo.
