I don't know their live rep, but they have enough songs that I dig to make me probably go if I were you.

They're definitely one of the most "hit or miss" bands out there today. If they're mind-blowingly good one night they'll probably drunkenly struggle through 2-3 songs and break up the next night.

I say yes & no.

Yes because BJM is good. I've been curious to see how their live show is.

No because the Vanguard SUCKS for shows. Even though they "renovated" it and now there's a bar there- the sound sucks, and it's just weird being there since that used to be the "raver" venue back in the day.

When is this show? I've been wanting to see them and since I'm not going to Lolla, I'll just bite the bullet and deal with the Vanguard.

Ooops! Sorry, it's August 18th.

Yeah, it makes me laugh about The Vanguard being a former raver hangout. I forgot that I'm seeing BJM at Lollapalooza. I might save my money and see them there instead.

Yeah I saw Of Montreal there and I was not impressed. The sound wasn't that great so it made them sound shitty.

I'm seeing them in new york on july 30th, and i'm psyched. I've seen them before, and they were pretty staid on stage, but i loved the music. How can you pass up three guitars and an electric 12 string?

or the potential for an on-stage meltdown....

I'd personally love to see them but after their *ahem* legal troubles, I dont think they'll be coming to Georgia anytime soon.

BJM are frustrating to me.
A lot of what I've heard SHOULD blow me away, but just doesn't quite get there.
I respect them and probably SHOULD like them, but they just leave me cold.
Live, I would go based upon reputation alone.

Chris, you'll get to see them if you're still planning on going to Lollapalooza.
