the very talented young lady known as feist just played "mushaboom" on conan. if i would have known she was appearing earlier, i would have recommended that everyone and their mother tune in, so you'll have wait until the repeat tomorrow on cnbc to see her awesome performance if you missed it.

i really like her album, but NPR has replayed that song so many times i want to jab it out of my brain with a soldering iron. she's been popping up all over the place lately, Broken Social Scene, Kings of Convenience and apparently Peaches (?) convinced her to move to paris

actually i misspoke. i fell asleep during the commercial after the characters.

here's my ratings:

The Guy With A Flock Of Seagulls Haircut That Is Actually Made Of A Flock Of Seagulls = * (1 star) - Not funny unless you are drunk

The Guy Who Doesn't Understand Why No One Wants His Lemonade = *** - I thought this was funny, but there's no way it can be a continous gag.

The Idiot Savant Who Knows Everything About The Movie Rainman = ** Good idea but the bit was poorly written and acted.

The Arab Informant Mr. Met = no stars.

Abe Vigoda With Lime! = **** - Vigoda rules.

Her album is quite good, I'm going to catch the repeat of this today.

so instead of the repeat, we were treated to golf and then a man screaming about which stocks in which to invest. i suppose that's an equal trade-off.

i do know about the late night thread, i just didn't think to check it.

and the new summer characters were all terrible except for vigoda with lime.

Has anyone seen her live?

I just couldn't get into it when I saw her open for British Sea Power.
