Artists that you KNOW are awesome in one way or another but you can't get past some distracting quirk of theirs. I've already mentioned that I think the Sleater-Kinney howling/shrieking/caterwauling just doesn't do it for me most of the time, even though in theory I know they're very good.

I'm trying to get through Hayden's Elk Lake Serenade at the moment and KNOW there's some very smart songwriting going on here. But, the boy needs to stop that slurred mumbling. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. I don't know why it annoys me, but it does.
