Eve 6 were really underrated, for their genre anyway. What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure that they appeared on an episode of V.I.P. (the Pam Anderson vehicle)

I didn't mind them at the time. But I was in grade eight or nine. I owned and listened to on a regular basis albums by Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, and Matchbox 20 so they fit into that whole category of post-grunge/alternative music.

That single that Eve6 had when I was in high school is one of the all-time worst songs ever.

Yeah that's true, I actually haven't heard that album.

Damn, I was hoping more folks would agree with me, but at least this thread is kinda proving my point! totally underrated.

Didn't there lead singer get arrested for exposing himself or something a few years back?

I thought lead singers were supposed to try to get exposure for their band.

Isn't that the band who's lead singer has red hair and looks like he is half-sasquatch half-irish....?

"I wanna put my tender heart into a blender and watch it spin around into a beautiful oblivion"

"I would swallow my pride, I would choke on the rind, but the lack thereof would leave me empty inside"

"I find nothin' but faith in nothin'"

HORRID. ABSOLUTELY HORRID.

They had some second album that had a single that was played endlessly too. Someone needed to teach that singer how to breath. He sounded like he was sucking in the whole mic every time he sang a phrase.

If this isn't Eve6, Then whoever I am describing, I hate them.

If it is Eve6 I am describing then I disagree that they were underrated. I thought they were overplayed and severely lacked talent. Although, I guess having talent is not necessarily obligatory in today's commercial music scene.

Nice enough guys, but they sucked live when an old band of mine opened up for them. The best thing they had going for them was that the drummer is the son of Don Was.

Oh yeah, horrible songs.

Yes. I actually heard that Was "signed" them when they were in high school and paid them to practice because they were so awful. He had a sylist come in and give them a look and then gloss them over in the studio. VOILA! A modern rock hit is born.

I remember when they were at the peak of their popularity they played this big rock show at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and MTV aired it. Oh. My. GARBAGE!
Dude just couldn't do it live. Off key. Unable to sustain notes. Just teddible.

When I was at LSU they showed up at a bar to hang out (not play thankfully), and all they did was complain about how they couldn't stand being around "frat guys."

not entirely shocked you guys didn't share my sentiment, but I am kinda surprised they're that hated here. although a lot of that seems to be directed at their singles, which I can understand since their singles did kinda suck.

These guys were right between Creedbox20 and 3 Doors Down for absolute worst band of the 90's. Sorry man, don't mean to beat a dead horse. Lotta pent-up anger about these a-holes.

If you go to college bars where frat boys live just to complain about them, than yes.

god what a horrible band.

just more of that faceless 90s rock.

though I did talk to the singer for a bit, he wasn't such a bad guy and he was a huge sloan fan.
