we had a difficult dilemma on our hands. Do we stay for the entire Wrens show? Or do we leave early and try to get prime real estate for Les Savy Fav? A band who I love and who Ranjan assured would not disappoint live. Luckily, the friends I hung out with before left the Wrens after the first song and saved Ranjan and I a spot 15 yards back left stage for Les Savy Fav.

uh, i was that friend! how about some dap for me bailing on a band that could be enjoyed from a few hundred yards away to one that made us part of the show?!

Sorry, I just copy and pasted an email I sent to some of my other non-obner friends. All Props deservedly go to James and Jasmine for our spots during the Les Savy Fav show.

I dunno guys, I hate to say it but there was quite a frenzy down in front as the Wrens finished up and during their encore that was the highlight of my weekend.

although I wanted to see Tortoise, I was not really that interested in the next two bands so I decided to call it a night.

It was downright difficult to stand out there in the heat and dirt (I hesitate to call it "grass") for more than a few hours at a time. I never slept so well as I did on Saturday night.

Interestingly, it sounds like if people were up close for a band, the band sounded good. Everyone who was up front for BSS says they sounded good, but everyone who was further back says the sound really sucked. Same for Go Team.

I think Jasmine got it right when she said, "I think Local H is better".

I do like DFA though. The sound was fine for my liking, but I was far back.
