i was under the impression that most senators were sitting on a pile of money and that it was the constituents who were poor. so do you just have to hurry up and wait for results today? the anticipation must be killing you. if i wasn't at work, and i have no idea why i am, i would have a drink to cut the tension.
HAHA. Shelby is a monster when it comes to raking in the dough fro his campaigns...as are most dudes that make it past 2 terms or so.
Yeah, basically, since 7 I have been fielding calls and quashing rumors, etc... If my boss wasn't in town, I would be falling down drunk.
Election Night of 02 I bought a fifth of Old Forester, and 2 double deuces of Newcastle...drank the Newcies, had dinner where I had at least 3 beers and some Spanish dudes ended up buying like 3-4 rounds of shots, bought my staff dinner, threw said dinner up, had like 2 scotches in my assistant's hotel bar (and for GOD KNOWS WHY didn't screw her) then went home and drank almost that entire fifth while watching returns. We lost, the Governor lost, we lost the state senate, and the governor of AL lost.
My hangover was so bad I didn't leave town until Thursday. I wish I could repeat that, but with some wins.
