My point about VA/NC was that despite them having 2-3 largish cities each, get off the beaten path and you get places like Como, Murfreesboro, and other places where they raise pigs.
yeah i know what you meant. I was fucking with you, you see, because for once i'm at work and just as i remembered it i am bored. i'm not actually claiming some kind of advantage because i don't live in Alabama. Although i've only been to huntsville and am glad that i do not live there.

I am bored as well. Waiting on election returns, and organizing my files of people to fucking pound on for more money when this goodamn thunderstorm brews up and keeps my people from voting!

Huntsville, if I'm not mistaken is the fastest growing part of Alabama, because of aerospace and defense contracting. I was just taking umbrage at your implication of $8 being a record in FR in this state. Hell, Dick Shelby is sitting on $12-$14 million in his Senate account.

i was under the impression that most senators were sitting on a pile of money and that it was the constituents who were poor. so do you just have to hurry up and wait for results today? the anticipation must be killing you. if i wasn't at work, and i have no idea why i am, i would have a drink to cut the tension.

HAHA. Shelby is a monster when it comes to raking in the dough fro his campaigns...as are most dudes that make it past 2 terms or so.

Yeah, basically, since 7 I have been fielding calls and quashing rumors, etc... If my boss wasn't in town, I would be falling down drunk.

Election Night of 02 I bought a fifth of Old Forester, and 2 double deuces of Newcastle...drank the Newcies, had dinner where I had at least 3 beers and some Spanish dudes ended up buying like 3-4 rounds of shots, bought my staff dinner, threw said dinner up, had like 2 scotches in my assistant's hotel bar (and for GOD KNOWS WHY didn't screw her) then went home and drank almost that entire fifth while watching returns. We lost, the Governor lost, we lost the state senate, and the governor of AL lost.

My hangover was so bad I didn't leave town until Thursday. I wish I could repeat that, but with some wins.

I' m bored at work too. Had a busy morning and absolutely nothing in the afternoon. I have to wait on 1 person to call me back so I can proceed with my work. The shithead is gonna call me back at 4:45. I just know it. Booze would go a long way right now.

i want something good to happen for you then, especially if you didn't bang your assistant. why even have an assistant if you're not going to bang them? sometimes i wonder if you're even cut out for politics or the ethic-bending life of a lawyer.

It's true, while I talk a big game, I have a strange thread of morals that rear their heads at the most inoportune times, and abandon me when I most need them...

And strangely they appear to be getting better with age. But, since you have thrown down the gauntlet, I think I'm gonna light a homeless person on fire later.

Remember it's easier than it looks because those fuckers are like 75% alcohol so be careful.

ok but it'd better be for sport and not for some good purpose or anything, like trying to warm up a nearby puppy.

The amount of fuckng crazy people talkng crazy sht about not fuckng drinking s just too goodamned fuckng crazy for me.

Now, cutting back during the week either out of concerns for mental, physical or finanancial well being (or all 3) is one thing...but not getting drunk anymore, or drinking at all...well that's just crazy talk (though I had a fleeting thought I might wanna do this for law school...its just to crazy)

yeah it's crazy to me too... as if i don't smoke/drink enough, my intake probably will increase within the next few weeks due all the crazy stress going on right now. not to mention i start school next week and i am NOT happy about that.

but to each their own, more power to you. i certainly don't have the willpower to quit any of my vices anytime soon. and phil, did you say you were thinking about moving to LA?! :D
