Teams that clinch this early usually fall apart. I think that's what kept those 49er teams so sharp was all those solid Ram teams breathing down thier neck. Anyone notice how the 5-6 Rams are in the drivers seat to win the NFC west since all they need to do is win 1 more game the rest of the season than Seattle does & they tie, but StL has the tie breaker after beating Seattle twice. We could get a 9 win division winner

Yeah the 49ers did this in 1997, but lost to Green Bay in the playoffs. If I remember right one other team did it as well.

While the Hawks have been sucking it up lately(believe me, I know....I've been at all the home games) they have a MUCH easier schedule from here on out than the Rams......so I wouldn't count your chickens just yet Damen...having said that, I'm certainly not counting mine either. ;)

There's always the number one pick in the draft.

I don't think this is going to happen but what if the Panthers, who started 1-6 somehow snuck into the playoffs and played the Eagles and beat em. They are playing pretty damn good right now. The Falcons/Panthers should be a good one in a couple of weeks.

As an Eagles fan, i would love to play the Panthers again in the playoff's. lets see those corners handle TO like they did Pinkston. This team is so much better than last years in just about every way. Particularly if Westbrook remains healthy. that offense died when Westbrook went down last year.
