Well, I decided when I left here on Wednesday, and after this thread, to buy the albums by two of the bands listed.

I chose South San Gabriel and Holopaw. SSG is alright and will need may more listens before I can decide whether I like it or not (but it's looking good), and Holopaw is absolutely amazing. I love it. Very intimate and cozy.

And I just listened to Dalek's Distorted Prose. Slow beginning but get's you going after a while. Not bad, even though it's rap. It's also a bit hard listening to it at work since the word 'fuck' is used often.

:D

Jamie Lidell - Multiply.

Ewww, I don't know. He sounds like Terence Trent D'Arby to me.

The National - Mr. November.

Nothing about this excites me. I guess it's alright. The vocals kind of scare me a little. Probably won't buy it.

Stars - Elevator Love Letter

This song is purrrrdy. It's OK but I don't think I can deal with a whole album of purrrdy songs. I guess I have to be in the mood.

The album isn't completely down that route. Download 'Death To Death' or 'Romantic Comedy' and you'll see what I mean.
