The thing to remember here, Loogs, is that you never, EVER know how the show's gonna work out in the end. And it's those times when you think you know and you don't like what you're thinking, that you trip yourself up and make things bad. Step back, slink away if you must, but hold your fool tongue, son.

You don't know that you'll get old with her in AL, nor that you'll be spending an agonizing string of pointless weekends with disposable extras who genuinely care about the fescue. You have no way of knowing that concretely. Anything's possible. I keep thinking I have a good picture of my next 2-3 years, and I continue to be wrong. Buck up. Things have almost always turned out better than I thought.

Is this your future?
Depends who you are.
I don't get to shows much anymore, but I do still find the time to rock, as Homer once lamented he didn't. You make time for what is important to you.

With kids, my p[riorities have shifted, of course, but I still like to rock and roll.
you will too.

dOOdz, I was calling you the dog in that picture. The doll is merely asserting her control, i.e. taming, i.e. domesticating, you.

Cool?

Request granted... But, when we get to your bachelor party thread, whenever that'll come up, can we dish on your balloon-knot tongue-massage treatment for various constipated dancers?

OH YEAH, no problems there.

Calm down GG.

We all do things like that from time to time. I can't tell you how many weddings I went to with the ex that were pretty boring.

Hey, at least you had SEC football and beer going for you if nothing else.

Besides you need that occasionally to realize how cool your other friends are.

I could actually use some "boring domesticity" after the weekend that I just had. I feel like such a scumbag.

Might I advise a gazpacho bath?... Well, ladling on to your chest as you drowse on your 1500$US Viennese day-bed from Crate & Barrel.

How 'bout it?

Truer words never spoken. Actually had this conversation with two of my girlfriends this week-- one of whom is feeling "boring" and not all like her old, stylish fun self, and the other one who is 4 months pregnant and worried that her life will be reduced to no fun spontoneity ever again. Make sure you keep your focus on the things that excite you in life. It's so easy to slide into that complacent domesticity that many people do, and put on that "everything's great, we're so happy here!" face. Things change, you're still young, and it sounds like your girl is open to new possibilities in this life.
