I find myself coming back to this album throughout the year at perfect moments. Riding the metro home tonight, I had chills induced by the title track and "Reno". And I sang "Matamoras Banks" to myself all day after listening to it on the metro in. That's a gorgeous song that rivals anything Bruce has put out in ages - I mean a really long time. The album has its obvious faults - the production, in several spots - but I can look past them more as time goes on.

Anyway, I like it lots.

"Reno" is a good song.

I got to see him on tour for this. It was pretty cool.

I "demoed" (i.e. stole) a station giveaway copy of this and really liked it.

Loaned it to a co-worker who subsequently went to work for another station and never gave the CD back.

Dammit if you can't hang on to MD perks for yourself what good is this planet anyway?

I've had to remind myself that I own this and remember to listen to it at least three seperate times.

I really like it, yet I STILL feel like I need to spend more time with it. "Long Time Coming" kicks my ass.

If I wasn't going out of town for my girl's birthday this weekend (which means lots of money being thrown around), I would've bought tickets to see him here in Madison. Oh well...

i still have'nt bought this, which is a disappointment.

speaking of promos, last night I just got the newest ryan adams disc as a promo, making this like the eleventh straight album of his i've been given for free, taken home, and promptly never listened to it again.
