I have a couple of souled american records I think - a friend burned them for me, I remember not thinking twice about them when I first listened to them but then being pleasantly surprised by them the next time I picked them up. Sadly now, I remember them little - looks like Ill have to refresh my memory

Yeah, they sneak up on you like that.
Nice record, though. They really do anticipate the whole post-rock take on alt-country thing that Will Oldham does so well.

They just did it first.
