This supposedly comes out on Tuesday (in the UK, at least), but I hadn't seen any mention of it until about 5 minutes ago. It's supposed to be more "rock oriented" than Hobosapiens. Cale apparently worked on it with people who manned the boards for a few Dandy Warhols and Macy Gray albums, so I fear the worst. At least the album title is better than the last one.

Lordy. I'm a fan, don't get me wrong, but things haven't been moving in the right direction for JC lately. Let me know what it sounds like if you brave it.

I couldn't find a full copy of the album online, but I did listen to a clip from the first single on Cale's official site. It sounded like Seven Mary Three backing a very tired-sounding John Cale.

I'm guessing this isn't tired like, say, Johnny Cash before he died, old and dignified and a little world-weary, but more tired like doesn't know how or when to stop, already. Or has to pay off Rise. I guess the kid must be in college now, actually.
