It was toward the end of the second day of training for my new position - caseworker of the retreads and ne'er-do-wells who received food-share (QUEST) and family-planning waiver beneifts - and the trainers decided to do an ice-breaker activity. It was a series of questions, brain-teasers apparently, such as "what famous place in North America is always moving backward?". (The answer: Niagara Falls. I didn't get it... I answered, Chicago River.)

Anyhow, to the question, there is only one vegetable that is never sold frozen, canned, or otherwise modified; instead, it's always sold fresh, I couldn't think of any food such as that, so I answered "Terri Schiavo".

Two people sitting in front of me groaned very audibly, but the middle-aged woman between them busted a gut.
