This is where that other thread was inspired from, anyways I don’t think anyone else has mentioned this but number one for me is:

Prague's great misfortune is its incredible beauty. What remained for years a perfectly preserved city full of Gothic spires and amazing, if deteriorating, Art Nouveau apartment buildings in the city center suddenly opened to a flood of international tourists after 1989. Before Prague could sort out what it wanted to become after years of Communist mismanagement, it had to handle an influx of young people in search of some mythological "Bohemian" lifestyle.

Good call, I forgot about Prague. I need to go there. Same with Budapest.

Belize and Japan, too.

Centuries of construction in Prague gave rise to an exceptional integrated architectural complex, unique in the world as regards its size and concentration of cultural heritage. Different architectural styles mingle and intertwine here, and their symbiosis creates the city’s unique atmosphere. The most valuable part of the city’s centre was declared the Prague Heritage Reserve in 1981, which was included in UNESCO’s world cultural heritage list in 1992.

Of course there are many others like Germany, Italy, Greece, and South America. Oh and Spain again because if I could I would go live there.

What a bunch of crackers. Europe, Europe, Europe. Get out of your own Western skin every once in a while.

I want to see some shit that ain't like ours. Like China. Or Madagascar. Definitely Vietnam. Actually, if I could get in an out without being sodomized/beaten by Kim would be North Korea.

Actually, I saw a lot of people mention more "eastern" destinations. See what you want to see, I guess...

"I can see it all now, this is gonna be just like last summer. You fell in love with that girl at the Fotomat, you bought forty dollars worth of fuckin' film, and you never even talked to her. You don't even own a camera."

Exactly.

I called Iran.

I think these might be nice - well, interesting, at least -,

and my maternal grandparents were married in Manila (31 Oct '45). They met in Calif. during training, and reconnected in the South Pacific. So, I feel kind of attached to the place....

(Basically, if not for the Japanese decision to bomb Pearl Harbor, I wouldn't be here. My grandfather was from Kenosha, Wisc., and my grandmother, from Auburn, Wash. Doubtless they never would have met, if not for the war.)
