Did anyone else find it kind of funny to see a black family on the Amazing Race actually named the Black Family. I felt like I was watching an SNL skit when the narrator introduced the "Black Family".

What did you think of the episode?

Kinda funny to watch that mom get run over by an Amish buggy.

I watched it - but they spent waaaay too much time in cars. Any network exec that thinks my idea of entertainment is an extended car trip with someone else's family needs a good pointy-toed kick in the shin.

i saw it too. i like it better with teams of 2 and no kids.
i have a feeling because there are kids, there will be no international travel, and maybe no air travel at all?

There will be, they just decided to spend a little more time in the US before going abroad, probably to keep the show from going to parts of the world that might be a little rough on kids.

I thought it was quite fun. The mix-up is good, having this many people will bring a new dynamic to the show that's never been there before.

And, hey, it's better than having Rob & Amber on, right?

I was reading an article about this family somewhere online the other day and since I had no idea they were actually the Black family it was pretty confusing.

OPA, I felt guilty because I literally laughed every time they referred to them as "the Black Family".....if there had been any OTHER black families on there I don't think it would have been as funny to me.

Personally, as someone who has been watching this show since it started I was prepared to be disappointed because the concept didn't really do much for me....but I really found myself enjoying it.
