Lemme just say this... those fuckers hired known Bush butt-sniffer Rudy Giuliani to come speak to Lands' End (owned by sears) when I worked there, RIGHT BEFORE ELECTIONS. About 1/4 of the people there were pissed off enough when he started stumping for Bush to actually walk out. There was a great deal of backlash from Madisonians. This was all in the papers, I'm not disclosing anything new. But this snippet certainly confirms what I was pretty goddam sure of to start with. Man I'm angry. My fuckin hard work helped fund that illegal contribution, and it makes my blood boil.

LooG,
Is it hard working for a party that's barreling toward oblivion?
Not trying to be a dick. I'm just generally curious about you folks in the trenches face each day.

Yeah, ignorance of the national party is the best medicine.

But the fact that people like LooGar actually still work for the Party make me feel pretty good sometimes.

Dude, OF COURSE>>> filled with 3 different types of delecious bbq. Pulled pork from The Brick Pit, smoked ham from Country's, and ribs from Dreamland. OnStar keeps it filled for me, and its like when the airbag is deployed, THEY call ME and let me know where to pick up my next fix.

"Senator, we noticed the BBQ Deployment Vessel is low. Should we steer the car to the Brick Pit by remote, or do you have the strength to do it?"

And, Jeff Flake (R-AZ) puppets what i said earlier. in the WSJ, courtesy of The Note:

We refer you to the Honorable Mr. Flake's Wall Street Journal op-ed piece, in which the self-term-limited Member (no Nethercuttian reversal here) decries his party's inability to limit deficit-inducing spending.

One of Flake's subsidiary points is key: that his party is going to have to learn to be less reliant on spending without much of a threat of being punished at the ballot box in 2006.

Why is the threat virtually non-existent?

Flake writes, with an antiseptic non-fervor that nonetheless reveals the dirty little non-secret that explains why the Republicans Party is not panicking in the face of hurricanes-gas prices-Iraq: ". . . [E]ndemic Democratic ineptitude makes Republicans more attractive when graded on a curve."

DeLay, Abramoff, Rove, Frist, etc., etc., etc. This is starting to remind us (metaphorically, of course) of that great scene near the end of "Goodfellas," when all the wise guys who thought they'd gotten rich in the JFK armored car heist start turning up on meat hooks, etc. Anyone else hear that piano music from "Layla"?

I thought ths was kinda funny too.
