Anybody heard/seen the new Wire CD/DVD; On The Box: 1979, which chronicles a challenging and chaotic 1980 gig. Wire on the Box, a 1979 in-studio performance filmed for German TV's Rockpalast. Any opinions on the worthyness of this release?

Not sure why I'm asking, after reading the blurb On The Box at allmusic.com, this is a no-brainer for me. Opinions, no matter how wrong, are always appreciated.

one of my favorite bands that I have the least a mount of music for. some bands I dont like too much and yet end up amassing their entire collection. This band I love and have yet to make a legitimate purchase. maybe this will be it. thanks for the note.

I've seen this in the record store, but haven't picked it up yet. I did read a review of it recently somewhere that was pretty good. Let me see if I can find it.

Thanks for the links Stone, youdaman, as per usual. I had it in my hands on Thusday when I was in the record store, but put it back...bought Arcade Fire and Futureheads instead. Now that I've read a couple of reviews, I think I'll pick it up next week.

I'll report my impressions either here or at Rave Recs, or maybe both.
