Agreed; its just as much hockey as this four on four sham (not to mention "Regulated Ties" (lol)) that they've been offering up.

OT sucks. I never had a problem with ties. Two points for a win, one point for a tie. Makes sense to me.

I miss three on three hockey. Nothing better than all out brawl and then three on three for five minutes.

Anyone see Andy Roach score last night for the Blues? He's a 32 year old rookie who until Wednesday had never played in the NHL. He played at Ferris State University, then with San-Antonio Dragons, Long Beach Ice Dogs & Utah Grizzlies all of the old IHL and Mannheim in the German league, & recently in Swizerland & Team USA at the World Championships. I don't think since Rick Knickle have we seen such an experianced rookie finally break in. Kinda cool to see

And my Habs are 2-0 too, both road games. Looking mighty fast. Higgins will be a star. In Toronto Sat. Night. Should be a great game.

Is CBC back from their labor stoppage? Are the Obners north of the border gonna get HNIC this Saturday?

Yep. It was touch and go for a while there, but HNIC is back.

How's Steve playing? I miss not being near Detroit, I don't get near the coverage up here.

Haven't heard anything about the labour stoppage being setlled, but I do think it is business as usual for HNIC, the networks bread & butter. Even without a settlement they may well do what they've been doing with their CFL telecasts...Football without announcers. I'm pretty sure that I heard they would have announcers (including Don Cherry) for the game.

A few years ago the French CBC had an announcers strike in the middle of a habs/Bruins playoff series. I had the option of watching the English feed with announcers and the French one without announcers. It was no contest. I much preferred watching without announcers. More closely approximated being there in person as the rink noises, especially the skates scraping on ice came through much more clearly, but that was just a bonus the real treat was not having announcers to muddle-up the game.

Yeah, it's settled.

Hockey Night in Canada has it's CBC spot this Saturday.

What a horrible scam to save moneys. Poor workers. Makes me want to boycott -- but, it's Saturday night in Canada.

Hey,
