What rappers they're into, they list MF Doom and that's it.

Oh, and sometimes Jay-Z.

Reasons?

Because they don't bother listening to anything else and they know those two artists are highly regarded?

Just guessing.

"Indie Rockers" is just the politically correct term for "Listens to music for the scene cred"

Because they know fuck all about rap, but are too "sensitive" to get REAL Gangsta. Also, Pitchfork likes both of these guys?

AND, somehow rapping about food is better than rapping about selling coke, and they like Jay-Z for the "irony" factor.

Pick up that T.I. album or Young Jeezy and fuck with their heads..

it all stems back to when MF Doom appeared on the first Stone Roses album.

this is the exact same category of people that only liked De La Soul (and sometimes Tribe Called Quest) 10 years ago.

Now, if they're acting like they know something about hip-hop, and the only two artists they ever talk about are MF Doom and Jay-Z, that's one thing...

But if this is the only hip-hop they like then so the fuck what?

Are you going to go around chastizing hip-hop fans for only listening to 2 rock bands?

Who cares. People shouldn't be shamed into thinking they have to diversify their tastes.

I'm Mr. Sensitive.

But I like angry political dudes like Paris and old party dudes like Digital Underground more than crunk and bling. Just enjoy their kind of wordplay more.

Looks like something I'd like...especially since it features Mia X AKA "The Ghetto Sara Lee"
