Fiona Apple is on Letterman tonight

So...did she do anything? I mean, did she do anything controversial?

She played "O'Sailor." And then David Letterman interviewed her much to my surprise - it's a rare occurence when he does bring a musician to the interview seat. David asked her what she has been doing for the past 6 years between albums. She said something along the lines of "Not much, I probably could have gone to college, etc. etc." A few lines back and forth, nothing particularly revealing. And no, she didn't spit out any tired vitriols against pop culture like she did back on the MTV VMAs in 1997.

Everybody always forgets that Jewel sounded like just as much of an idiot as Fiona at that particular award show. Plus, Jewel had considerably larger knockers.... But no one ever calls her out for that.

Fortuna must have frowned on Fiona.
