Watching the game last night I was struck by how much it reminded me of an ACLS from like the late 80's early 90's when I didnt have cable because I didnt know all the players (knew most by names but not skills); plus the Sox remind me of an old school team a bit.

Also, with apologies, not having the BoSox or Yanks is a nice change of pace.

Cominsky reminded me of Atlanta-Fulton Co. in '91-'92....Fuckin rocking and rolling on every pitch.

I hope this series goes 7.

Some AL fans feel the same about not having the Braves. Just sayin'. :P

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with any of the teams left winning it, though I guess I'm rooting for a Sox-'Stros series.

I kinda like to see different winners every year. I mean it would've been great if the Red Sox had won again but it's cool that someone else has a chance now. I think I'm rooting for St. Louis though.

Oh, listen I know that everybody (including lifelong fans like yours truly) are sick of the fucking Braves in the playoffs. Take a year off, boys.

I agree. I really enjoyed watching the game last night just to see some new faces. I'm sure it won't draw near the viewership of a Yankees / BoSox series but I'm much more likely to watch it. Personally, I'd love a mid-west showdown between St. Louis and Chicago.

By the way, it's "ALCS" not "ACLS."

Especially the Braves.

Larry Wayne wants to get back to cheating on his (second) wife... With whom he cheated on his first.

Bobby wants to get drunk and beat his wife some more.

(If this were the NBA, and Chipper and Cox were Afro-American, the sport punditocracy would call the Braves, thugs. But since it's the baseball, and they are white, they are just "misunderstood", or "youthfully indiscrete". Y'know? Y'know??)
