Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow...I dunno, but it seems many people have missed the boat on this one. All I've heard is, "it's too long", "too much filler", etc., but this is so far my album of the year. This is his masterpiece.

My Morning Jacket - Z...I like their new sound, but it will take several more listens to fully get this album. But the amazing vocals are still evident which is always good. It looks like a winner to me.

Shout Out Louds - Howl Howl Gaff Gaff...it's decent pop, but after a few listens, I've become bored with it. Will probably sell it on eBay.

Jason Forrest - Shamelessly Exciting...I am absolutely loving this right now. Hopefully, it keeps growing on me. He reminds me of a more rockier version of Ratatat.

Your thoughts?

Isn't this your 400th album of the year this month?

Chris,

The only one of those I've heard so far is MMJ. I really like it overall but there hasn't been one song to really stand out for me or anthing. All seem good, none seem amazing. I've only been through it about 3 times though and my car stereo is starting to crap out on me so I haven't given this one a fair shake, really.

Chris don't sell that Shout Out Louds.

I got a little tired with it also but I was only listening to it all the way through every time.

Every time a song off of it comes up on random I love it though.

Maybe that's just me.......

After about 5 listens of this, it has taken a place amongst my ten best records of the year.

I still think it's too long, but it's probably a top-fiver for me.
