I would've wrote this yesterday, but my mouse was broken and a broken mouse tires my patience very quickly.

So....
So she started the show about 15 minutes late, and people were already checking their watches when she comes out from the back with her Danelectro in hand, plugs in, sits down, and starts singing, and within 15 seconds
everyone shuts the fuck up and just stares. Jeez, she's got a great fucking voice (granted, there was a bit of reverb on it, but still)...
She more or less started with several of her songs from her new album, going seamlessly from one song to the next while switching from guitar to piano. Then, as was predicted, she started to get a bit skittish, forgetting notes on the piano and asking for the audience to wait, later requesting (and recieving) a scotch from the back of the bar, took a request (some guy who kept shouting "Moonshiner", which after she played it, took to yelling "Free" to which some other dude yelled "Free
bird" to which she said "Mary Had A Little Lamb") and launched into something that sounded an awful lot like "House of the Rising Sun" (was that on the Covers Record?), and ending with "Satisfaction" and "Hit the Road, Chan". She then took her drink, guitar and setlist and promptly walked off.
So....long story short, while at times frustrating, the show was pretty good, if only to see
1. A bunch of scensters (and Baltimore scenesters, no less -- we
will curb a bitch if necessary) become totally floored, of only for a few minutes
2. That Chan is slinging
fire for that next record, word is born....
So...yeah. Pay no more than $10 and stay no longer than 20 mins, and all will be good.
Oh, and don't stand next to talkative French people, because eventually you will want to slap them upside their fucking heads. Sorry, France.
