From CMJ's newsletter:

American Analog Set's Final Tour

Austin's American Analog Set have been killing listeners softly for over a decade, before "quiet was the new loud" or "analog was the old digital." The group has endured a few line up changes and some shake-ups during their decade as band, like when vocalist Andrew Kenny moved to New York City to work on his PHD. Over those years, AmAnSet continued to release consistently great albums of soothing bedroom rock—six records so far. Their biggest shakeup is probably the recent announcement by the band that they won't tour after their fall shows wrap up. Though the band will stay together, their busy schedules outside AmAnSet will prevent them from doing cross-country tours. Explaining the decision, Kenny wrote: "Sean's book comes out in early 2006. Lee has been busy with Parts And Labour in Austin (I didn't know he was in Whiney's band!). Craig has his own music and more design work than he can do right now. Kenny is working on songs for a new project and also putting songs together for the next AmAnSet singles/unreleased compilation. Mark has a grip of cigarettes to smoke and FIFA 2006 just came out for PS2 so..." Don't slit your wrists just yet (but who slits their wrists to vibraphone?), as Kenny said AmAnSet might keep on playing the occasional show: "It's possible. We may play again here and there but this is the last time we will get INTO a van in August and get OUT of the van in December." Apparently staying home is the new touring.

Didn't Ozzy say the same thing back in '92?

Maybe, but Ozzy actually makes a lot of money when he tours.
