I'm goin' to see them tomorrow, and I'm purdy excited! Has anyone else seen them on this tour so far? And by any chance is anyone going? Don't think I've seen any other St. Lou posters.

Yeah, typeslowly and I caught them in Salt Lake a few months back---very good show. They were actually pretty interactive with the crowd, and the new songs sounded great.

I'm a St. Louis guy. Hope the show is/was good. I just saw Sleater-Kinney there last week...although to be honest I don't really like them, was just brought along by some friends. Have seen some good Mississippi Nights shows though over the years. Saw Lords of the New Church, Ramones, Dead Milkmen, Smithereens, Cramps, Reverend Horton Heat, Tricky, and a bunch of others there. They don't seem to get as many shows as they used to with there being more other venues around these days, but its still a decent place, although the beer is way over-proced.

Sorry for bumpin', but that was a fuckin' awesome show. And surprisingly I only had one drink there.

That was the first time I'd been to Mississippi Nights, and I really enjoyed that venue. (I'm pretty new to STL)

I'm kicking myself for not going to see the New Pornographers there 10 days ago.

Went to school at Mizzou and SIUC.
I loves me some Mississippi Nights. Saw some great shows there, back in the day. Wish I could have seen the Decemberists.

Damn.
Wish I could, but between rehearsal on Thurs. and (possibly) demoing some new tunes on Saturday, Sharon is gonna need a lot of time away to do some work -- she just started teaching this year -- and I'm gonna have to watch the kids.

Some time.
Some time soon.
I hope.

:x

Yeah, kids tend to get in the way. That's why I go to shows mainly when I'm on the road.
