I'm designing a website for a friend, but don't want to do some boring-ass design like every other site. Anybody know any interesting/unorthodox websites I can look at for inspiration? No flash or heavy java, please. I'm looking for simple but different.

All that stuff there now is at least 2 years old and not nearly as varied as all the things I normally do. Sheesh.

this is a web designer's site--husband and wife i believe. it's clean and easy to navigate and their work is pretty wonderful. the kelli connell site they just designed has some really interesting photographs.
