i'm not a good mix reviewer, but i'll try...

OOIOO "moss trumpeter" - smooth beginning to the mix. Can't be too sure i'd like 'em on this snippet alone. 6
caetano veloso "13 de maio" - Another gentle / laid-back track, this one on the latin tip. i like how it shuffles along. 6.5
akron /family "lumen" - Slow, almost aching track. Reminds me some of an arcade fire / queen crossbreed that i swear i have somewhere. Good song, but not for repeated listens as it burns on too long. 6
iron & wine "evening on the ground" - Strong song to pick up the bleeding snail of akron. Would've worked better following veloso -- they both shuffle well, but this track picks up a guitar edge. (What's this from?) 8
manuel mirabel "me bote de guano" - Not the latin flavor i usually listen to, but good for the mix. Keeps up the energy. Reminds me of ricky ricardo w/ some buddies joining the Coral. 6.5
belle & sebastian "dog on wheels" - i like the horn segue. Endearing track. B&S rarely do wrong. 9
vetiver "save me a place" - Another gentle track, slowin' it a bit but not feelin' like a down-shift. i continue to like vetiver. 7.5
caribou "lord leopard" - Here's a slight upshift. Quick snip to bump us out of the quiet / acoustic element. 6.5
tv on the radio "new health rock" - Blasts with energy. Makes me anticipate the new cd. 8
the mountain goats "magpie" - Good follow-up, but the 1 with the frenetic violins would've worked better. 8
the russian futurists "sentiments vs syllables" - Kindy "blippy" track to follow goats, but works in this song block. 1 of the better tracks from the album. 7
six organs of admittance "Eighth Cognition..." - Puts a halt to momentum. Doesn't seem to fit energy-wise. Decent song. 6
m.ward "radio campaign" - Would've fit almost anywhere in the mix -- kinda what to expect from an old school am radio -type of album track 7.5
holopaw "curious" - Curious track; builds well. i need to hear more paw. 7
antony & the johnsons "hope there's someone" - Slows rebuilt momentum, but i love this track, so it's forgivable. 8
the real tuesday weld "am i in love?" - Playful tune to lift the meloncholy. Feels like a placeholder between songs. 6.5
iron & wine and calexico "a history of lovers" - Fav. from the album. Picks up feel & tempo of beginning of mix. 8
the robot ate me "oh my! oh my!" - Kinda catchy & kind of annoying. Probably would like other robot stuff but not sure. 6
langhorne slim "in the moonlight" - Didn't even notice it play. Can't gleen my interest from this. Unnecesary mix element. 5.5
p:ano "ghost pirates" - Fun fiery/raveonettes sound (more fiery). Too short. 6.5
enon "grain of assault"/"genie's got her bag" - Good songs = good closer. Not a rousing end, but this hasn't seemed that type of mix. Good pick me up to close. 7


Overall: Just shy of a 7 on the OPA scale. The ending seemed to hobble to a close in light of a consistent opening and scattered strength throughout. Good mix. For this review, i've already listened to it 4 times, so it's a fine mix. (thanks again.)
