If I had to pick just one act to describe rock & roll to extraterrestials, it'd be Berry.

If I could pick 5, I'd go with Chuck, Jerry Lee, Ramones, Clash and Social Distortion.

I suspect Bo Diddley might be the right answer but sadly I own no albums by him. Anyone have any rec's...I probably should rectify that and am leaning toward starting with the gunsligher album

I used up my last BMG Club selection on a killer best-of comp. Bo's great, but not a lot of variety--precursor to the Ramones (one song, but what a great song).
