Holy shiite.

I got me some downloading to do. This was part comp for me but also working on a podcast. From all them suggestions, gotta trim it down to 11 killer songs that will make your spines tingled, your gooses bumped and so on. Tough feat.

Lydia Lunch's cover of "Spooky" and Diamanda Galas' cover of "I Put a Spell on You".

Here are a few more from Seth Warren's 3 disc set that I find particularly creepy or fun:

Diamanda Galas--Birds of Death
Rosetta Stone--The Witch
Virgin Prunes--Pagan Love Song
Gerard McMann--Cry Little Sister
Xmal Deutschland--Incubus Succubus
Alien Sex Fiend--Now I'm Feeling Zombified

I'd add Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus--for it's association with Jame Gumb and his skin suit.

this is why she and Lump are my all-time favorite posters.

Edit: I totally forgot about that halloween song with the Beck and the David Cross and the Thurston and whatnot.

T.S.O.L are always forgotten in favour of the Misfits. 'Code Blue' is the best necrophilic song of all time.

I'd burn more of these, but I'm having Nero issues. Ever tried reading a Nero playlist through Notepad? It's not fun.

The list:

Disc 1
1. Ministry - "Everyday Is Halloween"
2. Michael Jackson - "Thriller"
3. Switchblade Symphony - "Dollhouse"
4. Siouxsie & the Banshees - "Happy House"
5. Rosetta Stone - "The Witch"
6. Oingo Boingo - "Dead Man's Party"
7. Joy Division - "Decades"
8. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - "The Mercy Seat"
9. The Eagles - "Hotel California"
10. Virgin Prunes - "Pagan Love Song"
11. Tones On Tail - "Performance"
12. Violent Femmes - "Country Death Song"
13. The Cure - "Subway Song"
14. Skinny Puppy - "WarlockEd"
15. Legendary Pink Dots - "Blacklist"

Disc 2
1. New Order - "Elegia"
2. Depeche Mode - "Black Celebration"
3. Voltaire - "The Vampire Club"
4. Oingo Boingo - "Insanity"
5. Bobby Pickett & the Crypt Kickers - "Monster Mash"
6. The Rocky Horror Picture Show Film Cast - "Time Warp"
7. Bauhaus - "Bela Lugosi's Dead"
8. Concrete Blonde - "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)"
9. Echo & the Bunnymen - "The Killing Moon"
10. Laura Branigan - "Self-Control"
11. Gerard McMann - "Cry Little Sister"
12. Tubeway Army - "Down In The Park"
13. The Smashing Pumpkins - "Eye"
14. Siouxsie & the Banshees - "Halloween"
15. The Sisters of Mercy - "Ribbons"

Disc 3
1. The Cure - "Burn"
2. Joy Division - "Dead Souls"
3. Cocteau Twins - "When Mama Was Moth"
4. Diamanda Galas - "Birds of Death"
5. Citizens of Halloween [The Nightmare Before Christmas] - "This Is Halloween"
6. Electric Hellfire Club - "Halloween Theme"
7. Book Of Love - "Tubular Bells"
8. Rob Zombie - "Dragula"
9. Type O Negative - "Everyone I Love Is Dead"
10. The Cure - "One Hundred Years"
11. Xmal Deutchland - "Incubus Succubus II"
12. Eyes of the Nightmare Jungle - "Shadow Dance"
13. Tears For Fears - "Mad World"
14. Voltaire - "When You're Evil"
15. Alien Sex Fiend - "Now I'm Feeling Zombified"

I should probably just start from scratch and make a new one of these. I used to do a special Halloween show every year, back in my college radio days.

Other suggestions:

Public Image Limited - "Death Disco"
45 Grave - "Party Time"
Diamanda Galas - "Double-Barrel Prayer"
Fields of the Nephilim - "Chord of Souls"

If I think of any more, I'll post them.
