Not to single you out tj cause I see this sort of statement from others, but I find it a bit baffling. If you haven't liked their past stuff, why on earth would you want to hear their new stuff? Sure, there's a possibility you might like it, but there's got to be safer bets.

I just get the feeling that in an era when people can dl for free they don't screen their listening very well. I stopped using soulseek a couple of years ago and never started with colinswood because I think its a trap. You end up listening to lots of stuff that was pretty predictable that you wouldn't like just cause someone recommends it and you get curious. I like the idea of having to put $ up to hear naturally screening out the stuff I probably wouldn't like.

Anyways, I pm'ed you a link where you can find the album in mp3 format. Still haven't heard it myself.

I have to (respectfully) disagree with you on this point. And MMJ is my evidence. For some reason, the descriptions of this band always made me think I wouldn't like them. Then I downloaded Z on a whim. Never would have bought it on hard copy. Love it, love it, love it. Top 20 of the year definitely, and I think it will climb a whole lot higher.

Digital music has profoundly changed the way I listen to and digest music. I take more chances and I think that's a good thing.

Yea but if you had never listened to the band then this isn't the same as tj42's situation.
