Sorry to say, I'm not familiar with this band, but wished to post it for those who do. A terrible loss either way.

Bayside's John Holohan Killed in Car Accident

Bayside's drummer John "Beatz" Holohan was killed yesterday in a fatal car accident just outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Touring the U.S. on their "Never Sleep Again" tour, Bayside's van flipped over after hitting a patch of ice. Group members Anthony Raneri and Jack O'Shea have been released from the hospital, but their bassist Nick Ghanbarian and a member of the band's crew are currently in the hosptial with broken backs.

Last night's show was obviously cancelled, and the band expects to make an announcement about the rest of the tour shortly. Visit Bayside's website for future updates, and please make Paypal donations to the John Holohan Bayside Memorial Fund by clicking here.

Shudder

That's awful for these poor guys and their families. These stories always make me sad.

As the wife of a musician that tours almost once a month and sometimes more, this never fails to creep me out insanely. In fact we have a standing rule that he calls me when he hits his destination and calls before he leaves the next day if possible.

Again, not a band I really enjoy, but I'm sorry for their loss, my thoughts go out to the band and their families.

My friend Zack is good friends with Anthony, the singer. He didn't know the drummer, but it's a shame either way.
