Every year I get excited to hear for the first time that season my two least favorite Christmas songs: Jose Feliciano's "Feliz Navidad" and Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime." These "hearings" have to natural - I have to stumble upon them playing somewhere. I can't get by simply by downloading and playing them. It's not really the Christmas season until I hear these two abominations. Am I just weird?

It's not the Christmas season unless I'm driving around with my cassette copy of Fishbone's "It's a Wonderful Life" EP. That, or Run-DMC's "Christmas in Hollis."

I plan to have my ipod on full blast pretty much over the whole Christmas period simply to avoid ever hearing 'Wonderful Christmas Time'.

We've got a radio station here in KC that's flipped to the Xmas Music format - ALREADY.

The word is it might just be a stunt until a new format arrives in a day or 2, but still...

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to forgive you for putting that goddamn McCartney song in my head in early November.

But better that than the emo-pop of The Early November.

I hate you.

There's no reason to bring up christmas music this early.

It's bad enough that xmas decorations were going up in stores just last week, side by side with the halloween.

Don't fill my head with songs I don't want to hear.

I ran out to grab a sandwich for lunch today. The first song I heard at the place? "Step Into Christmas" by Elton John. I briefly considered taking my own life.

Rumor has it that as many as FOUR stations in Atlanta may go all christmas this year. Shit, if the big CC owned Mexi station goes Mexi-Christmas, that could make FIVE.

Apparently there is. I heard my first Christmas song of the year on Saturday at Brookstone. Notice, Saturday was still BEFORE HALLOWEEN.

In my house, cos my bro was born Dec. 5th, Christmas season did not start until the 6th...wasn't even mentioned cos we had to give him his proper/allotted birthday time. I still do this.

That, and I kinda hate Christmas anyway.
