make a mix of tunes that conjure up GoodFellas era restaurant scenes,

So far I am thinking an instrumental version of Volare by Nelson Riddle, some Martin Denny, SCOTS' house of Bamboo maybe, A dash of Frank Sinatra, a Dean Martin nugget...what else ya got (I know the soundtrack, obviously) Looking for a cinematic feel.

Didn't Martin Scorcese put together a collection of his favorites?

Yeah, and I may go look for it, but I was trying not to cheat.

PS...Last night I rocked the bar with your Ectopic Beats mix, we were celebrating, and you had us at hello!

Awesome. That made my day. Glad you enjoyed my selections.

Did you play them in the order I suggested? Just curious.

I think "Rags to Riches" by Tony B. is the quintessential song that sums up the early part of the movie.....

But the real shit is the 70's scenes and songs like "Monkey Man", "Jump In The Fire", and of course, the song playing when they whack Billy Batts....I think its called "Across The Ocean" by Donovan.

Rags to Riches is good, I think he wants something that evokes a 50s Iti Restaurant, though?

That's Amore?
My Way (Sid Vicious Verson optional)
Anything by Franky V and those lounge cats he talks about in the Copa scene, etc...even some soul, like Sam Cooke could be good.

The first person to suggest the Billy Joel song gets a steel-toed boot to the pills.

Almost any Louis Prima & Keely Smith tune would do.
Dean Martin - "Your Nobody Until Somebody Loves You"
Tony Bennett - almost anything
Vic Damone
Puccini opera
