i mean, we'll see if the team is better for it, but does anyone think that they will be? if this was about business then they would man up and deal with it in the interest of winning games. I don't see how he did anything that even justifies a suspension, other than being a prick. to me, the most offensive thing about that team is how they tried to nickel and dime westbrook until it was apparent that he was the best option that they were going to have for some time.

how can you argue against a team that has been consistently successful and yet stayed under the cap like the Eagles? I mean why should Tom Brady be making less money than Vick, Manning or McNabb, because he understands team ball and economics. I mean look how the Pats have done business with players who wanted to get bucky (Lawyer Malloy et al) over dollars: Goodbye. We are smart enough to draft around you and still win. Go away.

Football aint baseball or the NBA and that's why its the best fucking sports league in the world. Play pussy get fucked.

Corey Dillon was a Me guy for a long time until he got into the right situation. isn't that what Philly thought that they were going to pull off with TO?

*applause* so whats wrong with realizing that the experiment is a failure? Do you not think that Bellichek wouldn't have done/do that with Dillon if he got even 1% as bucky as Terrel has got.

And as to Corey: I'd be uppity too if I worked for the buster-ass Brown family. Since Mr Blank (thankfully bought out the Smiths here) they can rightfully take their role as "biggest fucking cheap bastard inbred owners".

ok, Tom Benson is worse.

dude i'm GLAD that they got rid of dillon and spikes, and i thank god every day that they didn't sign the farm away on Akili Smith. my point is that this experiment didn't have to be a failure, the organization tried to lowball TO on his contract by backloading it with a contract bonus that no one would pay and then acted offended when he didn't seem excited about it. fuck them in their stupid asses, if they wanted silence and a small cap hit they should have signed plaxico.

yeah, Plexiglass was available last year? No. the Eagles pretty much gambled on a one year experiment to try and win the Super Bowl, same as the Pats did with Dillon.....and I guess Dillon payed off a little better.

Contractually, neither team took much risk in bringing in a crazy-ass game changer.

if it was a one year experiment then why didn't they cut him after he pointed out that mcnabb turned into mayor mccheese in the second half of the super bowl? TO made sure that it was a risk for them and when they tried to fuck him he backed it up and has indirectly, or directly, tanked their season. If i was the best in the world at whatever it is my employer thinks i do i'd want to be paid for it too...and they would PAY ME THAT SHIT, even if i date-raped the VP's sister and peed in my boss's cornflakes.

John Stewart on TO just 45 seconds ago, "Terrell Owens will not play for the rest of the season.... because he's a DICK....... Ohhhhh TO, such a talented idiot."

how did they try and fuck him? he SIGNED A CONTRACT. It was him and Drew Rosenhause that tried to flip the script. Shi, I respect what the dude did coming back in the Super Bowl, but Crack, if you stayed late or worked on a Thursday with a hangnail or even got all your 3rd quarter TPI reports straight, I don't think that that you would go into your bosses office and wipe your ass with your contract, throw your coworkers under the bus, or start parking the Crack-mobile in the CEO's parking spot whilst changing your VA plates to IH8NGRS, would you?

Which the owner may terminate at any time, and for any reason, of his choosing... And not have to pay a dime on it. (And don't say, "But the signing bonus still has to be accounted for", because, yes, with respect to the cap, it does, since the NFL has the silly pro-rating bulla... But as it effects the player, that shee' was already paid out.)

No severance. No recognition. Nothing.

TO got screwed by the league when the changed the deadline on him. As a result the Eagles were able to get him cheap for this year, with every intention of NEVER paying him the contract. The contract was a joke, and both sides knew it. Nobody ever thought he would get paid the contract, not him, not the Eagles.

No, he got screwed by having a buster ass agent who couldnt even keep up with the deadlines, plus his behaviour in the B-More deal, and OH YEAH: He signed that contract in Philly, no matter what you think of it.

What the fuck is the matter with you people anyways? Believe it or not, I've actually pulled for TO but Jesus man, the facts is the facts.

TO's contract with the 49ers gave him a certain deadline, and he followed that deadline.

However, unkown to him, the league changed the deadline. Thus altering his contract without his knowledge. His agent says he wasn't informed. The player's union was supposed to inform him, but who knows if they did. You can't just say "a contract is a contract" when the whole problem is that it isn't.

I don't like TO, but he got treated unfairly by the league, and that was why the Eagles were able to get him for a joke of a contract that they never even planned to pay.

The other thing is... what were the Eagles thinking? If they wanted TO, they should have just given him a legit contract. Not to take responsibility away from him for being a jerk, but they knew he was a jerk before they got him. They should have either played it straight or not at all.

No, you are wrong, dude. It was up to Owens's agent to know that deadline, and why would he wait till the last second anyways if he wasnt scamming?

And no matter what you think about the Eagles intentions, TO signed a contract with them and then reneged on it.

And when did TO get treated unfairly by the league that exists so a dude like him can get off and get rich playing a kids game if only they can keep their dingdong's in they pants? The league has coddled dude if anything.

come on dude, you of all people aren't really making this argument. he's the best in the world at his job, are you arguing that he shouldn't be "out getting his"?

I still think they should have honored the contract he signed.

Changing a contract without knowledge of the person who signed it just doesn't sit right with me. Maybe the player's union informed his agent, maybe not. To me, they should have honored his contract either way.

Dude, he signed a bad contract that the NFLPA begged him not to sign.

Of course I think that he should get his, but being worth it isn't enough--you gots to handle your business as well.

Sometimes, GAR has to take off his "celebrating-the-Stones-doing-that-every-five-years-shitting-on-mics-and-calling-it-a-return-to-form" hat and put on his business owner hat.

But ye gotta do what ye gotta do. If you wants to GET PAID.

... Honestly, if we're going to talk about somebody demanding top dollar for being an underperforming priss, I think that we need only look at the Stones's ticket prices to see what's what.

Whatever Monty; Y'all need to fix the ticket prices down at the multiplex for starters.

Secondly, I am not on the "athletes make too much money" side. I say get yours when you can but play the damn game right, yo?

Third: If you could even comprehend the Stones, I might honor your comments, but I'll just leave you to wonder........
