They use to play shit like "Jesus Built My Hotrod" on REGULAR MTV?(not just 120 Minutes or Headbangers Ball). Like, at 1:00 in the afternoon.

I mean, I am was a huge fan of Ministry and the Surfers, but what the fuck where they thinking? There is not a society on earth that demands Gibby Haynes being on television at a time easily watched by young children

The good old days was when MTV didn't have the massive library of shit videos like they do today and were forced to put into heavy rotation the Talking Heads, the B-52s, Wall of Voodoo, Devo...

Funny you should post this. I was listening to the live version of "Stigmata" last night and briefly thought about putting it on a tailgate mix for this weekend just to scare everybody.

I've got both and will bring them along with a couple of Surfers albums to keep things loose.

I heard Gibby was so wasted during recording that they pieced together his lead vocal word by word to make it something approximating lyrics. He's also quite trashed in the video.

The man inhabits his own class of great trash. Viva The Butt.

I ever tell you guys the story of being wasted on acid with a buddy at a beach party back in '83 and getting a knife pulled on us for playing the Cramps? No? Maybe some other time, then.

yeah, I'm sure those kids need to be exposed to booty-droppin', 40 chuggin', spliff smokin' gangsta rap videos instead. much more likely to develop into a better society that way.

Yeah, then they didnt pay him a cent after the song became a hit whcih spawned the Surfers song "Some Dispute Over T-Shirt Sales" that is pretty much a blatant, unapolgetic ripoff.

Reminds me of being at the 4th of July fireworks in a similiar state of mind dressed up like the early 90's Merry Pransters with Mr. Bungle at top volume on a portable having people basically grap their kids and run away or yell at us to turn it down only to get wide-eyed stares and crippling laughter in return.....

We turned out better because our parents took every opportunity to beat the living crap out of us.
