For those of you who don't know, Thomas Fehlmann is a member of The Orb, and his membership is arguably the best thing to happen to them after their debut.

If you like breakbeats, hip-hop, techno and bass (oh my goodness Fehlmann knows how to use it), you'll love Lowflow. If The Orb indulges into too much wankery for your taste, Fehlmann keeps things moving and focused on every track, and he sure knows how to sequence an album.

One minute you'll be listening to some crazy dub/techno, and the next you'll hear a track that sounds like something Madlib or Jay Dee would have come up with. The following are two tracks that you may want to sample.

Listening now. This is pretty interesting.

Sort of reminds me of an ambient Meat Beat Manifesto or FLA's side project Intermix where there are lots of changes are going on within each song.

Borg, since you and I are on the same page musically, check this:

Intermix - Get Religion from their album Phaze Two (1992)

That's some good stuff. I remember when their first album came out (I need to pick that one up of thse days), but I never checked out their other records.

This kind of sounds like an instrumental FLA track that was created sometime between Tactical Neural Implant and Millennium, which is one of my favorite eras in their discography.

Tactical Neural Implant is a great album

I like Fehlmann. Sun Electric's "O'locco" is still an amazingly great track. Thanks for those links. Oh man good thing my computers got a sub-woofer

Has anyone heard "Orb Sessions, Vol. 1"? I almost picked it up last nite (on my way to see Front 242) but passed. And I guess "Okie Dokie It's the Orb on Kompakt" came out Tuesday but I didn't see it anyone hear that?

Speaking of FLA, it was just revealed today that they are currently working on their next album and Jean-Luc de Meyer of Front 242 will be a guest vocalist on it.
