These guys never dissapoint me. Too drunk to comment much more, but here's a track from it. I think it's releasedin January. If you want the full, PM me.

I don't think I'm familiar with these guys. I'll have to scope this out. Merci!

I remember Brent from Pitchfork gave the last album over a 9 rating. Don’t think the end of the year list remembered them. I actually own the debut, before D/L days, but they never did much for me though I liked a few songs. I might get around to hearing this one someday.

Dalen I do have tremendous respect for you and you help out Obner in so many ways. Guess I get blown away because people can’t find this same music that is relevant easier. It rubs me the wrong way because I can talk about the Magic Number numerous times and no one pays any attention than three months later they get a bit more of a buzz and than you are a hero. So that is the reason for my recent love for that other board, not that I’m turning on anyone there to anything, but makes me give up on this one a bit.

(posting after a night of hard drinking) Stopping now!

np: Happy Mondays - Bummed

a hero? wtf are you talking about dude?

uh, and I actually posted about the Magic Numbers on CMJ in early 2004 after i heard their live sessions, and no one, not even you paid attention back then. do i get all upset about it? no. i've learned that people will listen and discover when they're ready.

Forever misunderstood. This was my little olive branch because we haven’t been getting along as of late.

It’s not always about whom posted first, and your right some live sessions that you posted did go unnoticed by me. When the album came out and I heard about it then I started posting about it a few time but went unnoticed and that was all I was really referring to.

I wasn’t trying to come off as a whiner but really was saying that we haven’t been seeing eye to eye but understand your contribution to this board. I have respect and wanted to pass that along. Oh a perfect example of what I was trying to say was that following post.

I remembered the day you started posting and thinking finally someone who gets this English music…

Not sure if I will pull a Whiney and post only on ILM, cause I love Obner, but might be heading that way. So maybe saying goodbye but will see.

fucking shut the fuck up and leave already if your precious genius isn't being appreciated. every band you like is worse than the last band you liked, that's why no one creams themselves when you post about the Geraldine Fibbers or whatever the fuck that terrible band is that you're always going on about.

I really like this! The vocals remind me of Roddy Woomble of Idlewild.

Chase, I have no desire to actually quit this board.

I think, even though misunderstood at times, that there is no way this board would be(e) better off without me. Maybe I shouldn’t post while drunk but think of all the fun you would miss out on.

Love u too!

nope, actually don't need a pat on the back. I find it more funny than anything but get a bit irritated, nothing that hasn't happened throughout my life.

I will only quit if the music posts are no longer...

I heard this[Idlewild] too. I'm inbetweendays on this, though, I have given it a few listens and maybe I am too electronic these days to appresh...

I like the strings, maybe the production style is getting in the way.

The main thing is, its always nice to get near new stuff, BeeOk, some of us live on the edge of the world, and this is the first I have hgeard of this.

PSPM if you want the Geraldine Fibbers disc... fell for that thing years ago and couldn't sell it to a crackhead.

What are you doing next weekend?

I’m aware of about 50% of the things that pisses Obner off at me. I have this problem in real life as well, people always say that they thought I was a dick when they first meet me. They fall in love, boy or girl, once they really get to know me. Really can't believe that they read me so wrong in the first place. Have never been able to figure that out.

I listened to it this morning. I don't know why I always confuse them with the Clientele. They don't sound similar at all. I like it.

The new Clientele is pretty good, too, in a samey sound throughout the album kinda way

i liked their last album - their song - not sure the name but it goes "I wonder if the snow will settle on the ground this year" - one of my favorites of the past couple years.

I knew that would never get past the censors, wrote it that way because I’m in an externally strange mood today. Hell I want to see how it feels to get bitch slapped for heaven sake. Honesty is one of my tragic flaws and could ignore this thread but what the hell.

Men have always been more attracted to me than women. It’s because I look very young and still only around 130 pounds. Men are not a path that I ever wanted to travel down and while living in SF it became ridiculously unattractive. The thing is at this point in my life the sex of the person doesn’t seem as important as the person itself. I think this all has to do with being a Gemini where I have some kind of twin. So I do see the beauty of men but the whole dick in ass thing seems just too hard-core. I have no desire to cross that path and don’t have the balls anyways, meaning it will never happen

Only problem being that I live is Southern California where everyone is so fucking gorgeous and you can have sex with them. It’s the worst thing in the world because I have never slept with someone my own age or older. It has its disadvantages because I’m not married and truly feel I would be if I lived outside this state.
